Enterprise Rental Cars
The attached link is for booking your rental car when you travel to Sacramento. You will be picking up the vehicle at the Sacramento Airport and leaving it at McClellan Airport (the location of the DC-8). Enterprise can also have a vehicle for you at the McClellan location when the plane returns form our trip that you will be able to drop off at the Sacramento Airport.
You can book your Enterprise car by going on the web site below. When you make your reservation to pick up the vehicle please enter "SMF" for your pick up location. When you make your reservation for when you return back from the trip please insert "3010" for pick up location at McClellan Airfield. (McClellan Jet Services).
The rate is a Federal Government rate and it includes both the damage waiver and liability coverage. The internet rate will not show the $5.00 GARS fee (Government Administrative Rate Supplement), and the one way drop charge of $35. These charges will be added on to your rental ticket when you pick up the vehicle.
Please book both directions of your trip now, so Enterprise will have the vehicles available for you at both of the locations you will need them at.
If the return schedule to McClellan (Post TC4) is changed from your original booking then you must contact Enterprise to make the changes or you will be charged for unused days.
If you choose not to book on this web link, there is not guarantee of dropping off at McClellan or delivery to McClellan. You will be responsible for working out the logistics of your transportation.
If you are dropping a car off to board the DC-8 for Costa Rica please do so at McClellan Jet Services. The same goes for your return from Costa Rica. Do not expect Enterprise to find your car if you park it in another location.

TC4 Deployment in Costa Rica successfully concluded on August 12th. DC-8, ER-2 and WB-57 have flown a total of 25 flights. 292 weather balloons were launched from Galapagos, Panama and Costa Rica. DC-8 launched 93 dropsondes.
